I have always loved sport and as a teenager played county tennis for Somerset as well as squash to a high level. My degree is in Food Science and throughout my  career in the food industry nutrition has featured including advising vets and breeders on dog and cat nutrition through as well as working out what to feed an anaerobic digester for maximum gas production (you may have to Google that one!)

When I left the corporate world, I took the opportunity to combine my passions and retrain to become a Personal Trainer and specialise in Sports Nutrition.

I now love helping endurance athletes get better results through improving their nutrition, small changes can bring about huge gains in their training and racing. 

In my spare time I love setting myself at least one physical challenge every year. So far that has included a couple of sprint triathlons, several 1 day long distance cycling events, cycling in Vietnam and Cambodia and more recently a Coast to coast ride. This enables me to test out various nutrition approaches in several different situations and share them into my nutrition coaching solutions.

I also enjoy helping people to lose weight to help improve their long-term health. I’m not a fan of fad diets and so my focus is on educating people to help them make the right food choices combined with an appropriate exercise plan. I have a special interest in the challenges of maintaining/losing weight as we get older, particularly for females.
