"Fun & Friendly Exercise"

I started off working at a large teaching hospital in London in 2007, giving me a vast range of experience and cementing my passions for both neurology and hydrotherapy. After moving up to the East Midlands in 2009, I worked at a senior level at University Hospitals Leicester specialising in neurology, working across the varied neurological areas within the Trust, before accepting a static post on the Stroke Team.

Since 2015, I have been working privately for myself and varied neurological clinics to enable a balance between my young family (and bouncy dog) and my love for helping people with neurological difficulties reach their full potential or maintain as much independence as possible. I have also worked with the NHS Falls Team in a support role and really loved the rehab group work – it’s great having fun whilst you work! I enjoy all aspects of my work but have a particularly keen interest in dysfunctional nervous systems i.e. functional overlay / conversion disorder.

On a personal level, I keep as active as is feasible with small children hanging off my legs – I have completed various half marathons for Cystic Fibrosis Trust in the past and will continue to do so when time allows! A big passion is horse riding and also splashing around in a pool brings great pleasure.

I am very interested in Nutrition and plan to embark on a Master’s Degree in Nutritional Medicine when the time is right.
