The Rainbow Trail was fantastic in it's first year but we were desperate to be able to cover the main section so that we could run in sunshine and rain.
Once again the National Lottery came up trumps and awarded us a grant for five 5m x 6m parasols that perfectly cover the lower arm of the trail. We did all of the groundwork and installation ourselves with the help of some fantastic volunteers and in late August 2021 the vision was complete!
We had a fantastic summer in 2022 with little down time for either rain or sun. We don't take them down for the winter but secure them safely under heavy vinyl covers in early November so that they will come out clean and bright in the following May.
