Improving Run Technique

Mary offers both coached small-group sessions to give you lots of food for thought on run technique in the very popular "Big Picture" workshop, or  in-depth personalised technical analysis to help you avoid (or recover from) injury and run faster and more efficiently. And whether you are a serious runner wanting a recovery session; a fun runner who wants a lower impact workout, or a run/walker returning from injury then you can create your own run (or walk)  session in the Endless Pool on our state of the art underwater treadmills.

1:2:1 Technical Run Analysis

1:2:1 Technical Run Analysis

In this 1hr session we start with a Functional Movement Assessment to identify areas of weakness, tightness and asymmetry that may impact the way in which you run and your susceptability to injury. This is followed with a Treadmill /Outside Video Assessment of your Running form and specifically, how this is impacted by your functional analysis to identify viable improvements that will help you to improve your strength, speed and endurance.

"Big Picture" Run Workshop

Whether you're an existing runnner wanting to improve your skills, or a complete 'newbie' wondering what running is all about, join  me on a 2hr 'journey' through the essentials of running strength and technique relevant to ALL levels of experience. I will challenge you both mentally and physically but most of all I want you to have fun and don't worry because no-one will feel out of place whatever your standard or level of experience. This is a small group workshop of max 8 people).

Treadmill Run and Walk

The Endless Pool Barn, Manton

Treadmill Run and Walk

You will be running/walking on a state of the art Endless Pool Aquatic Treadmill with or without the added challenge of a variable speed swim current providing extra resistance. Natural buoyancy of 40-70% reduces impact and stress on leg joints and lower back whilst hydrostatic pressure helps to support the body to provide a safe but highly effective workout environment for both sport and rehabilitation. Sessions are 30-60 mins in duration.
