Classes for Sport and Fitness

We run a number of morning and evening classes targeted both at Athletes wanting to improve functional fitness and injury resilience, and clients simply interested in getting and keeping fit in a welcoming fun environment.

Kettlebells

This 1hr kettlebells class on a Wednesday 18:30 - 19:30, provides an all all over body workout with varied resistance and aerobic movements that improves your fitness, strength, balance & coordination. This is a safe and easy-to-follow group exercise class for men and women, tailored to accomodate a range of fitness levels and with the emphasis always on good technique and form.

Sports Conditioning

Sports Conditioning

A 1hr standing and floor based session on a Monday from 19:00 - 20:00 covering all major muscle groups with balance, varied tempo, strength and core challenges. The objective of these sessions is to improve your strength, balance and core for both sports and functional movement. The class will take you through varied full range-of-motion movement that challenges both body and mind.

Turbo Training

Turbo Training

A 90 minute motivational turbo session with online or studio options that will challenge your cardio-vascular system, your technique and your pacing skills but always with a focus on technique. A brilliant adjunct to Zwift or TrainerRoad if you need some variety and motivational real-time interaction and coaching. These 10 sessions from 12 Dec 2023 - 27 Feb 2024 on a Tuesday at 18:30 - 20:00 have been developed and refined over 10 years of delivery to mixed ability groups. They are uniquely written as a progressive sequence for winter training but you can jump in at any time as well!

Barbell Club

Barbell Club

Learn & develop the big 3 barbell lifts that form a complete full body strength training program of squat, deadlift and overhead press. If you have never trained with barbells before you can receive instruction and coaching from Lynette to ensure you learn the movement patterns safely and effectively from day 1. If you are already training elsewhere but want to join a group or have a coach look at your form, you can get that here too. Current session is 16:00 - 17:00 on a Wednesday.

Functional Fitness

Have you got a busy day job meaning it’s hard to find time during the day to exercise and you’re too tired in the evening? Do you want to exercise but don’t know what to do or lack the motivation to go it alone? If so, then come along and exercise with a lovely group of ladies in a fun and supportive environment. We get together bright and early at 07:00 on Monday and Thursday mornings for 45 minutes of activity designed to build and maintain your fitness, health & wellbeing.

Lengthen, strengthen and tone your body. All abilities welcome as you can work with props and modifications that will be given throughout the class. Athletes, fitness folks and anyone who just wants a good stretch!! A 1hr class Taught by Sheena Kirk of "Muscle Matters 2" in the Inspire2tri studio.
