Open Water Swimming

Swimming restarts in early May 2024 subject to reaching 11C at 1m depth. It is currently 7.5C (22/4/24). Booking is available for Sunday 5th May but we may need to bounce bookings on if it's still too cold. Next temperature is taken on 29th April so fingers crossed! Book from the activity tabs below. We offer a regular Sunday morning swim session, and various Introduction sessions, training and racing for triathletes and "relax and swim" sessions on a Tuesday and Thursday night throughout the summer. Following a really successful introductory year, we will be running the Rutland Open Water Performance Swim Club (ROWPSC) again this year on a Tuesday night from May to August.

We partner with RocketScience Sports UK to supply breaststroke-friendly full neoprene wetsuits - see below!

Burghley Swim Preparation

A 45 min session with 15min land based introduction and 30 min water time, designed specifically for those cometing at Burghley Multi-sports weekend, who want to "dip their toes in" and get some guidance ahead of the weekend's events.

A 1hr evening swim on Thursday and Tuesday starting in mid Summer. Same great venue and changing facilities but with a slightly shorter evening course. Open to all swimmers from age 8+ (with adult).

A 1hr small group coached session for juniors aged 8-15 years. Swimmers are grouped by experience and ability to make sure that everyone has fun and learns about safe open water swimming or racing.
